The Cove was recieved with a grand enthusiasm at Love & Anarchy. The packed Bio Rex greeted the film and the director Louie Psihoyos with a standing applause. Director Psihoyos travelled from Helsinki to Paris on Monday 21st Sep to the Paris premiere of The Cove. Luc Besson introduced the film with Psihoyos at Paris. Psihoyos sends his greetings to the festival audience of L&A and says thank you for the interest towards his film: “Louie Psihoyos, director of The Cove here to say thanks again to all of your supporters for screening my organization's movie at The Helsinki Film Fest - Love & Anarchy at Bio Rex. Because of International pressure from audiences taking action and writing to the Japanese Ambassador, and signing the petition - the film seems to be working. Right now there is a "no slaughter" policy at the cove. However this is temporary and if your audience wants to take action to help a permanent ban, please go to www.thecovemovie.com and click on "Take Action" and sign our petition. It's important that as many voices are heard from as many different countries as possible so the new Japanese government feels this is a truly worldwide outcry. ... Again, thanks to all for making the screenings in Helsinki a great success, All the best, Louie Psihoyos” You can sign petition here. You can contribute donation here. |
