My Greatest Escape

While ”Bronson” probably is the fi rst prison movie about staying in, documentary ”My Greatest Escape” shows what it takes to get out. French mobster Michel Vaujour spent 27 years in prison and did fi ve escapes, the most spectacular one involved his wife and a helicopter. Directed with a lot of essential flair, the film isn’t necessarily about warping justice, freedom and the human spirit, but about the power of change.

”My Greatest Escape” is like listening to the words of a philosopher…. fixed on a face it is an intimate portrait full of spirituality….from his blue eyes all his emotions are uncovered with a spiritual power that takes over the screen.

– JEAN-LUC DOUIN, LE MONDE

A documentary of incredible intensity…here we see an honest and passionate man who has always refused boundaries, and who had freed himself for the first time.
