Surprise film
This year's Surprise Film is the brand spanking new one from the festival's prodigal son, Jalmari Helander. RARE EXPORTS: A CHRISTMAS TALE is a Finnish action-comedy. The strory starts around Christmastime in Lapland, where the truth about the existence of Santa Claus will be revealed. With the revealation, a mysterious creature starts slaughtering hordes of reindeer. A group of people, led by Jorma Tommila and Tommi Korpela, has to take action!
The Film has gotten a great reception at the film festivals of Locarno and Toronto. This week, the American Oscilloscope has bought the distribution rights to The United States, so our yankee friends can also know the Secret of Christmas.
But Santa says that you'll have to see his Slay at his home country and now! And you better watch out, 'cause Santa Clause is coming to town and will give you coal if you don't.
