Gogol Bordello Non-Stop (Margarita Jimenon, USA 2008) that was screened at the 21st Love & Anarchy festival has won the MusiXine main prize of 5 00 euros at the Oulu International Music Video Festival.
MusiXine competition took place at the Oulu International Music Video Festival (19.-23.8.) in Oulu, Finland, for the third time this year. Gogol Bordello Non-Stop won the first prize in a selection of seven high quality musical documentaries. The energetic documentary was described as "dynamic and edgy, like the band itself. The film is fresh, easy going - and most of all, punk", as described by the judges of the competition: Johannes Klein, a Romanian festival coordinator, Jouko Aaltonen, Finnish filmmaker and the project manager Laura M. Kiralfy from Denmark. |
