Bollywood: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told
Bollywood: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told is exactly what it says on the label – one big wet sloppy kiss to what the documentary calls "a love affair that has lasted over 70 years between almost 2 billion people worldwide". (...) Co-director Jeff Zimbalist's editing, alongside Nishant Radhakrishnan, shows a real understanding of rhythm and tempo as it intercuts moments from other films into a single movie's music.

This can include everything from politics, villains, super-heroes and mothers to geography, the weather (a wet-sari section), explosions and seduction.
[I]t in fact takes a very sophisticated audience to understand Bollywood's expressionistic style, especially its jumping in and out of musical numbers in a freely associative way. It's a mindset that's now almost been lost in the more literal West, whereas in India popular, accessible music is still embedded in the culture (...).
